Date: 4th and 5th March. Time: 09:00 -- 18:00 hrs.

“What more do I need to learn about computers ? After all, I'm a Computer Science Graduate !!!”
“Why go for masters when the placement cell of my college works so 'hard' to get me a job ?”
“How can I customize my subjects to get a mouth-watering course in Computer Science ?”
“Why not stick to my job ? What if I don't get a better one after higher studies ?”
“What good is it anyway to be a math-worm when I'm a programming guy ?”
“What is all this fuss about research ? Is it all about getting a better job ?”
“I'm an MBA guy. Bachelor's was just another 'step'.”
“Is Computer Science just about programming ?”
“What are these technical talks all about ?”
“What do they mean by 'self-study' ?”
“I wonder what is taught at CSA.”
“I'm confused.”

Overview of the event:
Most of us have such doubts poking through our brains during the last undergraduate years. On one hand is the option of entering into academics, while on the other hand, is a job-oriented career. We are a group of students who are keen to help solve such queries.

This would be a desk consisting of students from M.E., M.Sc. and PhD, where you can pose general informal questions regarding any particular subject or course, related to Computer Science. In addition, any query related to career, course selection, self-studies, programming, GATE, etc. would be handled. People curious to know the content of subjects taught in a graduate/research course in computer science are welcome. Many of us are not aware of the necessity of mathematics in understanding the core concepts of a subject / research area. These topics would be discussed to the most extent possible. In general, the life during a masters/doctoral course may be described.

We don't want to be too philosophical, but, on the contrary, realistic. We want to acquaint the student with the taste of the “platter” he/she is going to be served in such an institution.
