The first Undergraduate Summer School Program is being organized by Computer Science and Automation (CSA) department of IISc, Bangalore from July 9th-14th, 2012. The aim of this school is to expose motivated undergraduate students of Computer Science and Engineering from all over India to state-of-the-art research in Computer Science, and to encourage them to pursue a research career in Computer Science.

Participating students will be able to attend a series of lectures by the faculty members and research students of CSA department, based on a wide variety of topics spanning virtually the entire spectrum of Computer Science. These lectures will provide the attendees with an overview of different topics, important problems in these areas that have been studied traditionally, and challenging open ones. The lectures will also introduce some mathematical tools needed for active research in these topics. The students will also get an opportunity to interact with faculty members and the students.
