Brief Biography

I am a project associate in the Department of Computer Science and Automation at IISc., Bangalore.

I received my Btech (Honors) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad in 2023.

I worked on Hardware Accelerators for Genomic Algorithms towards the completion of my B.Tech. honors degree. Thereafter, i worked as an Application Developer in Oracle, India till January 2024.

I work on developing an architectural integration for the emerging PIM technologies and bridge the gap between low-level control and a high-level programming interface. My work aims on providing an easy-to-use programming model and an efficient underlying architecture for PIM architectures, especially for data-intensive neural networks such as DNNs and CNNs.

Digital PIM architectures facilitate parallel bitwise operations directly within memory. Recent works have demonstrated their algorithmic potential for accelerating data-intensive applications. However, there remains a significant gap in the programming model and microarchitectural design. This is further exacerbated by the emerging model of partitions, which significantly complicates control and periphery. A well-developed programming model can help in easy, fast and efficient implementation of large models on PIM based accelerators.
