Grading system is designed to ensure you get a taste of research and learn hands-on.
We will thus have one programming assignment, one project and research paper readings beside one mid-term and a final exam.

POLICY ON ETHICS IN CLASS. We have a strict, zero-tolerance policy against cheating in class. For the first instance of cheating on an assignment, homework or exam, you will receive a zero for that course component. Both the cheater and enabler will be considered guilty. For the second instance of cheating, you will reported to the Dean, who will then consider disciplinary action based on IISc's academic integrity policy. Please note that punishments can be rather severe, and that the "benefit" that you obtain by cheating (a few points more) will certainly not be worth the cost of cheating.
