Speaker Bio:
Dr. Preskill is the Richard P. Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the
California Institute of Technology, and an Amazon Scholar. He is a pioneer in
the fields of quantum information and quantum computing, with important
contributions to cryptography, error-correction, topological phases of matter,
and cosmological quantum information.
Please join us at 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 9 for an informative talk
entitled “Quantum Computing: Current Status and Future Prospects.†Dr. Preskill
will explore noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) computers, their potential
for surpassing classical computers, and the future of quantum computing.
