Speaker Bio:
Dr. Preskill is the Richard P. Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics at the California Institute of Technology, and an Amazon Scholar. He is a pioneer in the fields of quantum information and quantum computing, with important contributions to cryptography, error-correction, topological phases of matter, and cosmological quantum information. Please join us at 12:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 9 for an informative talk entitled “Quantum Computing: Current Status and Future Prospects.” Dr. Preskill will explore noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) computers, their potential for surpassing classical computers, and the future of quantum computing. This event will also include time for Q&A. In the meantime, you can read the full abstract and enroll here:
