Abstract:
The Emergency Services Project (108 ambulance) was started in India by EMRI in the year 2005 in Andhra Pradesh for the first time. After its initial success, it spread to Gujarat State next and it soon became a popular service in great demand in many states in a PPP mode (Public Private Partnership). It is now available in most of India and it reaches interior villages across India.
The vision, the planning, the collaborations, the technology, the critical success factors and the leadership that went into the project that scaled across India in just a few years unlike most other citizen-started projects will be discussed.
