Series: Department Seminar
Speaker: Dr. Debojyoti Dutta, Leads AI engineering, Nutanix
Date/Time: Jan 17 11:00:00
Location: CSA Auditorium, (Room No. 104, Ground Floor)
Abstract:
The talk focuses on key challenges in the Enterprise world for AI adoption and possible approaches to dealing with them. Transforming Enterprise AI infrastructure for large scale Generate AI applications demands scale, security, reliability, and cost predictability, apart from seamless operation at the Edge, in data centres, or on public cloud services like AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and Google GKE. It is critical to enable optimized LLM model performance and flexibility to deploy AI models wherever needed, whether on-premises, at the edge, or across cloud platforms. Recognizing Kubernetes as essential for modern workloads and adoption of enterprise AI applications, it is critical to streamline its complexity.
Speaker Bio:
Debojyoti Dutta (Debo) currently leads AI engineering at Nutanix and is a board advisor of MLCommons (mlcommons.org). Prior to this he led engineering for Nutanixs cloud management portfolio including AI driven operations and cost governance. Before Nutanix, Debo was a visiting scholar at Stanford (Management sciences and engineering), a founding member of MLCommons and a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco.
He obtained his postdoctoral training in computational biology and a PhD in computer science from the University of Southern California and a BTech in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Debo has a fascinating passion that converges mathematics, computer science, and biology to drive a new generation of personalised medicine powered by AI.
