Abstract:
Does the quantum supremacy has any impact on cryptographic security as practiced today? Will we be prepared enough in case quantum computer becomes a reality in a not-so-distant future? Painting with a broad brush, the talk will attempt to draw the contours of cryptography in a post-quantum world. We will touch upon the challenges and difficulties of securing our various mundane activities that involve communication over a public channel and the kind of research that have been initiated as part of this broad agenda.
