Series: Department Seminar
Speaker: Prof. Adwait Jog University of Virginia
Date/Time: Jun 08 11:00:00
Location: CSA Auditorium, (Room No. 104, Ground Floor)
Abstract:
Confidential computing is becoming essential for protecting sensitive
AI workloads in the cloud, but enabling it on CPU-GPU heterogeneous
systems incurs a significant and poorly understood performance cost.
This talk presents a measurement-driven characterization of where and
why performance degrades under confidential computing. We will also
discuss solutions to address these identified performance overheads.
This talk will be based on our recent publications on this topic.
Speaker Bio:
Adwait Jog is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the
University of Virginia. His research focuses on GPU architecture,
memory systems, and heterogeneous computing.
